Sporting Schools Program

The Sporting Schools program is a national initiative that provides primary children from Years 1 to 6 with access to free sport and other structured physical activity programs in the after-school time slot of 3.00pm to 4.00pm on Mondays.

The program aims to engage traditionally inactive children in sport and other structured physical activities, and through a positive and fun experience, develop a love of sport that inspires them to join a local sporting club.

As the Sporting Schools Coordinator, Mr Shane Dupuy is experienced and accredited in a range of sports as well as being a classroom teacher at the College. Over the years he has developed strong relationships with coaches from local sporting organisations who come to the College to work with the students. Some examples of activities include:

    •    Surf Awareness
    •    Soccer
    •    Softball
    •    Multiskills
    •    Karate
    •    Cricket
    •    Athletics
    •    Frisbee

All students are welcome to attend this fantastic program where the focus is on having fun through a combination of play based and structured activities.
